Wayfinder is a personal application with a single user: its author, Abe Tarapani. It is not available to anyone else. This policy describes what the application does with the author's own data.
With the author's consent, Wayfinder reads data from accounts the author owns: Google Calendar (read-only: the list of calendars and their events), an Oura ring account (daily sleep, activity, readiness, workouts and stress summaries), and a public weather forecast. It never writes to these accounts, never deletes anything in them, and reads nothing from any other person's account.
Data is stored on the author's own computer. Short, filtered summaries are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the assistant's replies. Calendar events that involve the author's employer's customers are reduced to busy blocks before any of that happens, and events that look like medical appointments are reduced to the words "medical appointment". The author's conversations with the assistant take place in Telegram. No data is sold, shared with third parties for their own purposes, or used for advertising.
Wayfinder's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used only to plan the author's day and is not transferred to anyone except as described above. Access can be revoked at any time from the author's Google account permissions page, after which the application reads nothing further.
Data stays on the author's computer, in encrypted backups the author controls, until the author deletes it.
